Lockdown can become 'a golden opportunity' for education

Lockdown can become 'a golden opportunity' for Education

School lockdown - Waterford, Connecticut... - Waterford Police ...

This article is about what should be done by children, teachers and parents during the lockdown to be productive. There are many issues which are needed to get resolved and it can only be done by collective efforts. Before the lockdown ,the children used to go to school. Then rest of their time would be spend on doing homework and playing with friends .But now things are changed for them a lot, as their daily routine is totally changed. To cope up in this pandemic , children should be emotionally strong. They should choose things according to their goal. Means they should give priority to their studies and then if they are interested in learning a language, dancing or singing , they should practice. Afterwards they can choose anything from their hobbies like watching movies, listening songs or playing any video games, yoga, other physical activities and drama. So here children can see that the planning can be made in three stages . In the first stage they learn things. In the second stage they practice things and in the third stage they have stay can enjoy their hobbies.
Also children can make the bed, dust a shelf, set the table, fold and put away clothes, and tend to plants. Not all of them of course, but the children could choose what they would like to do and we need to help, remind them to do it joyfully.
Another thing the teachers can do to have an individual conference with each child. They can set up an appointment with each child online and can chat about what is going on with their lives, asked them if they are comfortable with the activities suggested,if they have any questions etc. These meetings can be different from child to child.

Parents should talk with their children frequently about their interests and problems to keep them more positive and friendly.Ministry of Education has also started a Manodarpan Portal which provides a psychological support  for mental health and well being of children during covid -19 outbreak. Children can contact -8448440632 National Toll - Free Helpline Number if they feel any kind of stress, anxiety and other psychological problems.
