Beat Cancer
When we hear or say this word, 'Cancer' a kind of deadly feeling comes in our mind. We can frankly say that we hate this word and do not want to hear it around us. But we can't deny the fact that the number of new cases of cancer and deaths are increasing rapidly. Around 9.6 million people die from cancer every year. Cancer is the second leading cause of death worldwide. 70% of cancer deaths occur in low-to middle income countries.
Therefore it is important to step up cancer literacy and knowledge amongst people.
In clear words we can say that the disease should be discussed, not avoided. Now the point comes that who will come ahead and how everyone can participate in it. The answer is we all have to come forward and should need to raise awareness on Cancer, so that though we do not know its cause and cure but at least we can educate and make people alert about its danger. It will foster positive attitude in the people who are currently struggling from this disease. Some following steps we can take to spread awareness on this disease are give below. Connect directly with the children and adult who has been given cancer diagnosis. We can conduct webinar on this topic with the help of experts who can guide us minutely. One of the important reason is less physical activity. Regular physical activity not only help to reduce excess fat, but also help in reducing risks of many diseases. Then another important thing is diet and nutrition. We should always eat fresh fruits and vegetables, and avoid junk food. It increases our immune system. Keep ourselves and our surrounding clean to avoid infections. Always take part in organized cancer screening programs.
4th February is World Cancer Day, so we can organize quiz and slogan competitions for students and ask them to develop healthy fitness habits. Educate to prevent cancer will be helpful at certain extent.This will lead to early detection which is important in the management and treatment of cancer and also prevention by making necessary changes in lifestyle.
